Crown and Sceptre Project

Population: 1,000 | 2020 Budget: ₦30949.00 | Project Number: 000022

Today, it is the general belief that kings are extol and install into their thrones through demonic means and that whatever they do in the cause of their reigns, they owe their allegiance to the various deities that installed them.  As a matter of fact, people believe that a king cannot be a child of God and cannot rule with the word of God. Just as God is interested in the good of man, so the kings have also been enthroned

by him for the good of man. But, traditions of men have tried to distort this
position as God intends it to be from the beginning of its institution.

It is on this note that the Bible Society of Nigeria, with its mission of meeting the scriptural needs of every Nigerian in general, Christian churches and confessions in particular and helping people to interact with the word of God, has decided to reach out to the symbol of authority of different communities and kingdoms in Nigeria to interact with the word of God for a better understanding and subsequent implementation to avoid chaos in their domains.  It is believed that when the righteous are in power, the people rejoice and when the wicked rules, the people suffers.

This programme is for kings to know that no authority is given outside God.  And it is their duty to use the standards of the Word of God to rule in their domains so as to ensure prosperity of the people and the land.

CHALLENGE

Today, it is the general belief that kings are extol and install into their thrones through demonic means and that whatever they do in the cause of their reigns, they owe their allegiance to the various deities that installed them.  As a matter of fact, people believe that a king cannot be a child of God and cannot rule with the word of God. Just as God is interested in the good of man, so the kings have also been enthroned by him for the good of man. But, traditions of men have tried to distort this position as God intends it to be from the beginning of its institution.

STRATEGY

Focusing on the Audiences Our key audiences will be at the heart of our decision making when defining local priorities. We will ensure that the audiences we serve are represented in programme planning. As a global Fellowship we will develop and resource global Scripture engagement programmes for each audience.

The Kings will have bibles translated in their mother tongue and in the course of the programme, they will be interacting with the word of God and thereafter will be assessed on the impact the word has on their lives with subsequent follow-up to engage them in the study of the word of God

GOAL

Within the next three years (2018-2021), the following are expected to be achieved.

1.   To help  kings understand that kingship is a
setting established by God and not traditional deities as has been conceived by many people.

2.   To help them know the will of God concerning the establishment of Kingship.

3.   To help them make a decision of handing over their rulership to God so that he can take over the office of Kingship

4.    To help them personally give their lives to
Christ.

5.    To help them interact with the word of God.

6.    To help them set up succession plan in accordance to the will and word of God.
