HEALING THE WOUNDED HEART (Trauma Healing Project)

Population: 3,120,000 | 2023 Budget: ₦43153940.00 | Project Number: 000039

This project addresses the spiritual, emotional and psychological needs of the traumatized people in Nigeria who are under emotional pains or shock. These people are victims of kidnap, insurgency, rape, domestic violence and natural disaster etc.

The Bible Society of Nigeria found it needful to embark on this project in partnership with churches and non-governmental organizations who are interested in such programmes to assuage the emotional pain of the people in this devastating situation.

The project also seeks to  call the attention of Nigerian Christians particularly, the Church Leaders to the plight of the traumatized people in their congregations especially the Christians in the Northern part of Nigeria who are living in fear of uncertainty; the family of kidnapped victims in the South-Eastern region and other parts of the country who are waiting endlessly for their loved ones to return to them or who are running helter-skelter looking for money to pay ransom; the abused children all over the country; and many other traumatized  people that can be identified.
